Born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, I went through school more interested in the Arts than other subjects as this is where I found comfort. However, I did not discover my love for photography until I had a once in a lifetime trip to Uganda at the end of secondary school. This was the point where I felt that I could now focus my energy on a single art medium and wanted to learn more. I took a year out so that I knew photography was what I wanted to study.
During my first year at college, I was lucky to have a broad range of classes which helped to hone my skills as a portrait photographer, whilst expanding my knowledge in other fields of photography. I then started to narrow down the type of photographer I wanted to become.
Some of the subject matter that I enjoy photographing includes wedding, studio, family, fashion, child and pet portraits. I am also interested in the environment we live in, capturing it differently to how we normally look at it to create beautiful imagery. I am lucky enough to live in an area that is close enough to both mountains and sea to be able to capture stunning land and seascapes. However, I also try to find interest in the everyday views and objects that we see so often.
